Eagles news

The eagles are trying to make trades inside their squad to strengthen it. They claimed now free agent Bella of a waver and signed her to a 6 game contract. However, that hasn't done much for them, as they've played three games with her and the eagles have lost all of them. Luke had this to say," He have to figure something out. Our losses are unacceptable. We need to get back out there any pull ourselves up by out bootstraps."

Lightning bolt Injury report and more!

 yesterdays 14-0 win over the Eagles cost the Lightning bolts one of their players. Collin hurt his back and appeared to be in a lot of pain. However, he still wants to play in todays games. Collin had this to say," Yes, I am in a lot of pain. It's pretty hard to walk. However, I still want to play today and help my team to another win." We'll see if this injury affects the Lightning bolts streak. In other news, to compensate for Collin's loss, the Lightning bolts have signed free agent Bella to a contract extension until Collin can get his energy back.

slump!

The Eagles, Formerly known as the firing grapes, are in a huge slump winning just one out of six games showing a depressing 1-5 record. the team has made trades and acquired players of the waver but nothing seems to be able to bump them out of their slump. Luke, the team captain, had this to say," With my team I know we are going to do good. Because we have a very fast receiver and a very good catcher. We need to work on completing passes. If we do that, the rest will fall into place." Let's hope that Luke's words of confidence can propel his team to more wins. The Eagles play three more games tomorrow and Thursday and then they have the weekend off till Monday. Lets hope the Eagles can pull together.

new names!

The league officials have come together and decided that the team names should be changed. The Firing grapes have been renamed the "Eagles", and the Blue Bears have been renamed the "lightning bolts." The League officials had this to say," We decided that we needed to get a little more professional. The earlier names were old, its time to accommodate the times."

Free agents

Three free agents have been added to the backyard football league. The Blue Bears signed one of them to a one game contract and saw results as she lead the Blue Bears to their third straight win over the Firing grapes. She completed 4/9 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown, as well as 35 receiving yards.

Blue bears braking news report!

The blue bears have drafted and signed Colton to a two week contract. His debut will begin tomorrow. Collin( manager and captain of team) says," We hope that Colton will be a valuable asset to our team of receivers. I am expecting big things from him." Only time will tell.
